This looks really good, I played it and was going to test out the ditch(Which I ended up learning my lesson afterwards)
I say keep working on it! It was very fun while I played, although I think that the player should be able to move left and right faster, because it's sort of slow and jumpy right now.
Good luck!

If you had the idea at the same time its okay, but I made a topic about something like this 4 weeks ago!

Lol ok, but let me check... my original sprites are dated "last modified" as Monday, August 24, 2009. Is just a coincidence bro. This is the first project I ever started at Scratch and is all my code 100%. I tell where I got the idea from in the description but that would mean that I ripped this idea off a program written um... at least 26 years ago!! Or should I say "we" ?!!! Lol, j/k! Cool though, do you have anything done yet? Is yours a scroller too? Mine is only vertical. But I just finished my first infinite scroll background tonight so I was sooo pumped about RPGB but now I'm like... hmmm... cause I KNOW what I could do with this new system. Plus, RPGB needs MAJOR tweaking and re-scripting. I had no idea what I was doing so I have tons of common newb script mistakes that slow the whole thing down.
Anyway, wish you luck on your projects, I'm off to check them out now (on my kick booty speed modem) sorry so slow but somehow I missed this till tonight.

Hey, Locomule, I could make some enemy sprites for you if you want, to add into the game and make it more interesting =P
Anyways, good luck, and be sure to post when your finished, I'd like to play the final version for sure!

Hey Viz. how could I turn down an offer from the man himself?? Honestly, I planned to replace all the ripped sprite stuff if the game ever took off. It was my first Scratch project so the code really needs to be darn near rebuilt to stomp out all the newbie coding bugs (blush, well maybe "all" lol.) I planned to do original sprites if I actually developed the game, which I will do for sure if people seem interested in it. I'd be interested in any comments, sprites, suggestions etc, thanks! I have the unfortunate luxury of almost endless spare time at the moment. Just remember, I am a newb here (no friends/faves yet lol) so I'll probably have some duh moments. But outside of Scratch, I've been at this a long time. I teach classes at a local museum and I am seriously toying with running a long term class for kids/teens/adults using Scratch. Seems like most programming language differences are in syntax and I think Scratch would provide a great foundation for across the board general programing concepts. And how better to learn than making games!?!?!? Sorry, I ramble too
Oh yeah, here is an art gallery of mine.

Here's another link to some old PlayerWorlds maps there I did for a game called Delrith Online. It used 32x32 ripped graphic tiles that you drew with in the client app. Get to it by using the scroll thingy at the top left. ps. I have a buddy checking on free server space for another PW game my daughter and I work on in our spare time. She is 6 yrs old hahahaha. All our bases will be belonging to her! Peace.
