Probably not, the "checkered" or "empty" spaces don't have any definite color, so you couldn't convert it

If you export a COSTUME (Not a sprite as that's a different file type altogether) you can open it in microsoft paint etc: and then save it as a png. from there.
However, the checkered squares become a black background which when erased deletes the outlines of the costume. So I do suggest drawing a colour background eg: a blue box around the costume and then exporting it
