Hi, I am a teacher in Europe and I use Scratch in my classes. There is a foundation in
my country that is organizing a contest for schools. Would someone please tell me if its all right to participate using Scratch ( mentioning MIT of coures), because the winning projects receive money which goes to the school.
Thankyou beforehand,
IrisSophia

Hmm, i've never said any rules about Scratch not being used for contests. Or if not, why not try simply creating the projects in Scratch but save them instead of uploading them and review them like that?
Edit: I actually believe this would be fine. I just remembered the UK animation festival 09. Scratch is one of the eligible programs on the entry list
Sadly I did not place anywhere in the winners
But I did get a quite nice certificate ^^
Also I'm going off what Paddle2see said too.

I believe that would be fine. I know that the Scratch Team is okay with people making money teaching Scratch so I don't see why there would be an issue with using Scratch in a contest. The publicity would be beneficial, particularly if you won!

Thank you so much for your replies! Just answered now because I'm going crazy ( just a little lol) organizing programs and getting to know over one hundred students. By the way , just showed two classes Scratch for the first time yesterday and they looved it . I'm new in the school and introducing Sctatch to the kids was my idea, its not part of the "curriculum", so really need to get organized. I love this site and will try and keep you posted! And probably bug you with questions as well!

Does this mean that I'm allowed to make money selling programs made with scratch?
