Agreed, maybe you've posted a topic, it gets some replies but after a day it's on the second page.
Then maybe you want more people's opinion and you "bump" it

I suppose it would depend on the content
If it was a abandodned thread that only needed to exist for a little while eg: A notice and then you came along and bumped it then yes it would be spam
But if it was a new thread that had some point but the forums became extremely active and fell off the page then I suppose it would be ok.
However it would probably be better to reply to the subject to push it up rather than to just post bump.

What you could do is post something, and then delete your post, effectivly pushing it up without spamming its content.

I think if it's on the second page of inspiration & more or text based games it wouldn't be necroposing, but for the oher topics... i don't think so....
