1.4: Major Problem!!!

Whenever I put in a name for a costume of the same name, but without the number (e.g: costume(1), costume2), the number becomes the biggest number named in the costume series (+1). Please fix this in 1.4.1!!! Thank you. I'm sure others suffer the same problem.

Re: 1.4: Major Problem!!!

How do I take screenshots, though? I have Fraps, if that works.  smile

This should be moved to troubleshooting.

Hurly: Press Print Screen then open Paint editor and click Ctrl + C and it should be put there. If that doesn't work try Alt+Print Screen and then do the steps above.

Marr: Yes, it should.

I'm not exactly quite sure what is the problem here. After all, Scratch doesn't allow for costume names to be the same, thus, it attaches a costume number to the end of one of the costumes to differentiate between the two (assuming the costumes are in the same sprite, of course). Additionally, Scratch will change the end number of a duplicate costume (by (+1) if the original costume has a number at the end.

Then again I may not be understanding the problem well, so please explain more if this is not the nature of your problem.

Additionally, this topic seems to be better suited for the 'Troubleshooting' section of the forums. I'll move it there so others may be able to help you.  smile

Re: 1.4: Major Problem!!!

If your costumes are in the wrong order, you can just drag them around to the proper order.

I have this problem all the time and have to come up with crazy new names for costumes.
I really wish scratch had an on/off switch for this  hmm

Re: 1.4: Major Problem!!!

oh man that just occcurs when a costume of the same name is already there its not a bug  but its a utility u could also name them but make sure that u do not use the same name for all the costumes the utility is quite useful though as in 1.3 if u rename 2 costumes the same accidently then while running the whole project either bugged or used to be wierd so dont be so panic just check if theres already a costume of the same  name and rename it if u want to give that specific name to ur costume...

I AM ALWAYS READY TO HELP ASK WHENEVER U WANT

Here is a better way to describe the problem:
Lets say I have a costume called costume1
then I copy it and then It turns to costume2
I rename costume2 to Hello
And then the costume Hello renames it self to Hello2
