Come on, I doubt it. Even if lots of people support the idea, it just wouldn't work... though if it does get deleted, please don't shout to the world that my prediction was wrong.  wink

Actually, I disagree with you. I mean, sure they aren't really related to scratch, but they're fun. And the galleries aren't needed, does that mean we should delete them?

You know, while reading this thread, I'm just a bit surprised to find out the outcry of the opposition to Jonathan's post on the basis that the 'Text-Based Games' forum is 'fun'. It makes me a bit worried that this forums, and not Scratch projects, is slowly becoming the basis of entertainment on Scratch.

Re: Should I suggest that the Text-Based Games be deleted?

Almost 90% of my time is spent on the Text based games area, My life would be destroyed and i would be forced to... Read a lot (Not that I hate reading, But if you read a lot it gets boring XD). If I was scratch and (Somehow) got money for every memeber that had and/or number of posts in the forum, Their money would go down and they would suffer >:3 I would mock them and laugh in their faces as their site turns to dust >:3

But you have to agree, Seeing Scratch go through turmoil and distress, Slowly being deleted and burned to the ground by its own members, People becoming meaner and More bans. The poverty in scratch would be amusing.

Yeah well Archmage has 8 days to pick up and shift his butt out of Scratch. October is just around the corner and we are counting down the days >:3 (Sorry i'm kind of in a bad mood to day,)

Since I suggested this category (here's the proof if you don't believe me), I think it should be kept.

hmmm... but games might spam the other sections too. I know that there used to be all those game topics in inspiration and more. Archmage's idea is a good one.

True, But we RPGians would (If it ever happened) that all Data and Posts of all RPG's are put over in the "Other" forums, So we don't have to build them up again.

True, Inspiration and more would become an RPG flooded mess
And if we deleted Inspiration and more, the whole forums would be clogged  yikes

I've thought about it and this is my suggestion:
Delete the text-based games but keep the inspiration and more,
you can still have surveys and stuff on inspiration and more.

That's a very good point: People don't want the Text-Based Games to be removed because it's fun. That's horrible!

There's only one reason why the Text-Based Games (and Inspiration and More) should be kept. The same reason they were created: to stop games and things appearing on All About Scratch and more. But this problem is easily remedied: forum moderators can simply delete or close the topics. People will learn not to start them.

That's why I miss the old-times. 2007 scratch was the "golden age".  smile  But now we have all this. People who quit. Meaner people. The most recent fad of the quitting thing is "I'm going to die in 2 weeks".  sad

Okay. I get your point but you're saying  people wanting to keep the fun is bad?! I know it's ("supposed" to be) a programming website, but where else would we put the RPGs? Soon they might say we can't RPG in the galleries because they galleries weren't made for them!
