I'm sure this has been suggested before, but why don't we make an online Scratch Player. Not java, not flash, but a Scratch Player.
We all know about the INCREDIBLY ANNOYING Java glitches right? The Scratch Player would be completely glitchless, because it is designed to run scratch and only scratch. Do you see what I mean?

Well, that would be very difficult as it would require a different player to be written for each platform.
You see, the reason they chose to write the player in Java is because they only had to write it once, for Java. The various java players (all written by Sun) have been tested on the various platforms/browsers. That is more work than you can imagine.
Believe me, the scratch team had a good idea to write the scratch player in Java.

I wonder if Scratch would run more efficiently on a Flash player...

It's a good idea, but

Well, maybe the scratch team could find a way to embed the OFFLINE Scratch player.

It would be difficuult, but it would be worth it.

how about C? c is cross platform and can be compiled to run on mac since mac is based on UNIX(mac has a rock solid unix base says Jobs) That would make it so much easier.
But C isn't online.
Plus, if Scratch was it's own player, you'd have to download the player - a bit of a frustration for some people. Even then, it wouldn't be flawless.
