I learned three very important things from that match:
1) Mage still pwns like crazy.
2) Lag is very annoying.
3) Snake cannot plank for his life.Yeah, I have no idea why our connection was so bad last night. I think I've gotten better than before; I KO'd archmage a few times.
You've gotten way better, or I've gotten way worse. I'm starting to feel that I'm the worst Brawler around here now. But last night I actually learned how to dodge once all of you left. I defeated a level 9 Wario and he only touched me three times.

Yeah, you still need to learn some basics. You are probably the worst brawler here.
For starters you use ground attacks way too much. You walk up to people and stop and use an attack which is something you should never do. Only use a smash attack when you are standing still or if it is a guaranteed hit. For the most part you are going to want to run at the opponent, short jump, then use your best aerial.
Try using ROB to practise this. Using ROB attack by short jumping and using forward air when near the ground and his other aerials when in the air. His dthrow also combos into his jump to up air.
I love using ROB online, the reason being is that he never kills himself because of his awesome recovery. When there is tons of lag the only way some people manage to beat me is when I screw up my recovery.
If you really want to play perfectly you need to watch videos from smashboards of people using your mains. These people are usually at a tournament level and show exactly how a character should be played.

Look up players like "Mew2King" or "Ally" on youtube.

Look up Ally first. Ally beat Mew2King at one of the really big tourneys.

And hey, guess what? I'm not going to be completely mad that I'm the worst now! Because now I have valuable information on why I stink!

How did the other one get deleted?

Because the creator, FMT, deleted it.

Lain also beat Mew2King at a tourney. So did ADHD.
The person you look up to watch will generally depend on which character you main.

Generally, anyone you watch at smashboards is probably way better than you and offers a good example of how to play a character. Obviously, you are not going to look Ally's videos of snake for advice on how to play MK. The sooner you can mimic high level play the sooner you can start to win at the game.
I don't really play Brawl anymore but after 500+ hours these things are burrned into my mind XD
I am having loads of fun with Street Fighter 4 now, but its wayyyy more difficult. I've been practicing my combos past few months and just now I am starting to get them 100% of the time on a good day. In Brawl comboing is like this, you read a combo and you do the (usually simple) combo. Brawl isn't really about combos or dexterity like SF4 is, its more tricking your opponent and dodging stuff and knowing what moves are good.

Yeah, most of the time when I play using G&W I just spam turtle while not trying to not get hit. Turtle can poke through shields most of the time so its easier to get hits on people.
As for combos in brawl, the only combo's you can't just mash out are some grab combos (especially ic grabs). Most combos I can thing of in brawl are just 2 hits as well. Let me think of some good combos that I use.
Olimar: d-throw to down-b
Bowser: grab release to f-tilt
jiggs: d-air to down b (pretty hard and your spacing has to be perfect)
luigi: jab x2 to up b (also hard)
Most good characters in brawl don't have anything more than a 2 hit combo. Melee on the other hand had some wicked combos that were on par in difficulty with SF4 combos to pull off. Most Melee veterans hate brawl because it took away combos and other thing which made the game much harder to play. But I think I like brawl a bit better than Melee now, but maybe that is just because the * mechanic of having to cancel all your aerials was removed.

Because he felt like it and it was taking up a lot of server space. I dunno, just guessing.

I don't remember either, but I remember something like I don't need it or sumthin. Or I just felt like it.
Also, I'm about an inch away from getting banned.

Why are you close to being banned?

I've gotten about 10 infraction notices so far, most of them being, "Please be more respectful in your posts."

What do you mean? It was just two guys, one Fox, one Captain Falcon, passing their opponent back and forth and then KO'ing him, then a bunch of swear words.

The Wombo Combo is awesome. If that combos done exactly right, the victim's hitstun doesn't wear off in time and its impossible to escape. And CF's knee is an overused meme as it is.
