To join the Scratch Team you have to live at MIT, however you can still get Admin rights without necessarily being a member of the Team. An example is Paddle2See - he lives in Maine, but he is an Administrator. He used to be a Moderator.

He used to be a Moderator but now he is an ADministrator.

I say that the first step to becoming part of the Scratch Team is to become a forum moderator. This shows that the Scratch Team thinks you are good enough. And after all, Paddle2See and Jens used to be moderators...

The Scratch Team is a group of students and researchers at the MIT Media Lab. We are all part of the Lifelong Kindergarten research group: http://llk.media.mit.edu
Currently we are only accepting MIT undergraduates to join the team as part of a program called Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program. So if you decide to come to MIT for college you can join our group!
