Try contacting them. I think all you need is a intermediate/advanced knowledge of Squeak Smalltalk.

Okay, this thread will turn into a stupid, repetitive fad. Anyways, you'd never know if he has some great ideas, which he can implement to Scratch.

Hey, its not our decision, its the Teams. Besides, like technoguyx said, he may have a great idea.

"What do you bring to the table?" means, what skills do you possess that would make the scratch team say, "OMG! We need this guy, now!"
If you have some great ideas for scratch, just post them in the suggestion forum.

The answer is simple: check with the Scratch Team. Ask Andrés or something.

Thanks guys, and I do have a very special idea - I am a whiz with HTML, so I could turn Scratch.mit.edu into the future of technology. I also have an idea for Scratch 1.5 - Mesh with blocks for Mesh, and nestable sprites.
I'll let you guys know what happens! Cross your fingers!

If I could become a member of the Scratch Team, I would try to make new blocks and offer suggestions to help the future of Scratch. Plus, if someone offers a suggestion, I might consider using that to improve Scratch. Hopefully Andrés reads this post, but I'm only 11, so I definitely won't fit in . Also, I think you would have to be a person working at MIT...

I believe Cheddar is not with MIT and she's younger than 18 and she's a Forum Mod, Paddle2See I don't think works at MIT, I believe most people at all are at home.

They aren't looking for another member of the scratch team.

And if they were, I would already be there XD

FloatingTree: Why would that be?

To join the Scratch Team you have to live at MIT, however you can still get Admin rights without necessarily being a member of the Team. An example is Paddle2See - he lives in Maine, but he is an Administrator. He used to be a Moderator.

Working for the Scratch team sounds kinda fun
Although I do remember seeing that they arn't currently looking for staff somewhere (Don't know where O_o)
But good luck
And I gues MRN knows a bit more than I do anyway xD

No, just my interpretations of "Scratch Team". ^^ Other people might consider "Administrator" to be the same as "Scratch Team". But I just wanted to point out that Administrators outside of MIT don't have as much influence on the development of the Scratch software as the Scratchteamers. However, they have equal influence on the website.

Cheddargirl is not a part of the Scratch Team. She's a moderator.

I think what happens first of all is you need permission from your parents.
Second of all, you must be a good, well-known and kind Scratcher. If you don't meet that then you're certainly off the chances.
After that, you need to know about Squeak. If you don't then there is still a chance, but you won't be included on the development team.
If you meet all three points then there is 25% chance of the Scratch Team including you, because apparently on their page they said they didn't really want anymore admins and it is very rare for members to turn into admins.
