Chatbar problems in projects that you view online.

Sometimes I encounter chatbar problems. In this example, I will use complex's project The Insulter.

I viewed the project as normal. But when the Scratch Cat was saying "What's your name?", I clicked the green flag (no reason at all), but then the project started as normal... without the Scratch Cat saying "What's your name?"! At first I thought that it had frozen, but I decided to type into the chatbar for a test. It worked; that proved that it wasn't frozen. So I entered in the thing I typed, and then the project started as normal. The chatbar was there, the Scratch Cat was there: in other words, the project had been started with it working normally.

Yes, I tried this several times.

The bug is like this (in simpler form): I view The Insulter. Once I click the green flag right after the project starts, it stops and the chatbar appears. Once you enter something in, the project starts normally.

I am quite confident that this would happen in other projects too; I just haven't seen any yet.

I've heard that you have to include information in Troubleshooting. So here it is:
I use Windows XP (not the emoticon, the software called Windows XP).
I use Internet Explorer 8.
Is there anything else?

That's enough; I ought to stop now.

This happens to me too... I think there should be an

Code:

[ask [What's your name?] and wait]

block and a

Code:

[ask [What's your name?]]

.

agreed, adding wait blocks solves almost anything, it's becuase the site uses java to run projects. (did you ever notice the jave loader thing?)

Yes, I've noticed the Java loader thing. The problem with the Java thing is that projects sometimes don't run correctly online because of the Java Player. It can mess up, and well... you know. I just thought that I should mention it.

I don't think there should be [ask [ ] and wait] blocks... it wouldn't make sense. For broadcasts, thats different. That's where you broadcast something and wait for all scripts that received the broadcast to finish before you continue in your script. For the [ask [ ]and wait] block, I don't think it would work as well...
