License of Scratch Media files

I love Scratch and have posted numerous times about its use as an educational platform on my blog http://www.g4classes.com/learningforward .  However, it's not the right platform for all projects (such as projects that require searching strings for substrings).  The media included with Scratch, however, is great and it would be great if one could use the media (such as the sprite files) in projects made with other development systems.  However, it's not clear to me the license under which the media included with Scratch is licensed.  So, 3 questions:

1. Under what license is the media included with Scratch distributed?

2. Can the media be used in non-Scratch projects?

3. What kind of attribution is required for use of the media?

Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great day,
Kent

Re: License of Scratch Media files

1. I don't really know but I bet it's CC (creative commons)

2. Since I'm posting in your thread now it will go to the frontpage and someone from the Scratch team will answer this question (hopefully), but if it's creative commons you can use it as long as you inform the viewers about who made it and which license it's under, but you can't use it for commercial purposes.

3. *looking up attributions in an english to swedish dictionary*, well the swedish word didn't say me anything so let's wait for someone more all-round-educated, lol  smile
