We all want to see the very first project ever shared, right? I think I might know why we can't find it.
Until a few weeks ago, Andresmh's project, "Weekend" was the project that showed up last when you click on "projects" and "sort by date created". But its not there anymore! For some reason, when I look at his "my stuff" page it is still there. Its not been deleted, it has been hidden. Could this mean that the very first project ever is hidden too?
This will be fun...

I think we should use the Wayback Machine to go back to a time when it was not hidden! Whos with me?
This will be fun...
*gasp*
It must be the evil Squareguy cult! Weekend's been kidnapped!
FIGHT! Fight for the glory of ye olden times of Scratch!

It's still there for me.
Maybe it hasn't loaded yet for your computer?

That's odd, I can see Weekend. I even clicked the green flag and it worked fine!

I'm quite confident that Weekend is the first project. I searched webpages...
Weekend is this. Note the style: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/andresmh/104 All Scratch project webpages start with
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/
Then there's the username, andresmh.
Then there's the number of projects.
That was the 104th project made. The rest were probably deleted. I tried http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/andresmh/1 and there was nothing. I tried http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/andresmh/103 and still nothing. Therefore, Weekend is the first existing project. Probably.
Why don't you ask Andrés?

Illusionist is right we have to do this the over complicated, over difficult, impracticable, and round about method on this one

I said that you should ask Andrés because we don't have any proof about hidden projects. And anyway, Weekend is still there for me and Chrischb (we both tested), so it's probably just a bug in your computer about loading.
Have you checked Weekend again? It might be good to check.

Something has to be seriously wrong here. I just went to look for "weekend" and the oldest project on the newest list is number 111!
Projects are being HIDDEN there is no doubt about it.

On Weekend, one of the comments was left by someone with no username.
Could he be the one we are looking for?

I can't believe it! I found a way to get onto his "my stuff" page!
the url is http://scratch.mit.edu/users/%20/
Click here to see his page!

Projects ARE being hidden.
Newest has 52504 (something like that, but I know the 4 for sure) pages, and Top Viewed has 52505 (something like that, but I know the 5 for sure) pages.

The first 103 projects could not have been deleted. Its just way to many. They have to be here somewhere...

Yeah, I think they all got deleted. I checked Jay for the first project, but no luck.
Maybe Mres?

Well, how about we post this topic in the FAQ section? I'm sure millions of people have wondered ever since they joined Scratch what the first ever project was. That way we can ask the question directly to the moderators, and they will give us a direct answer back. It's impossible to do it the hard way unless you really want to spend the rest of your life typing in everyone's username into your browser!

Thats a good point.

I solved the mystery!

1. That is not a real account, it's a bug in the system. Thanks for discovering it
2. The first 104 projects were all mine and I was just testing the system, I left one which is on my list of projects.
