it said "OMG! CANNOT CONNECT TO SCRATCH.MIT.EDU!"
Do you get the message a lot?
Is it in your browser program (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)?
Does it happen with other websites besides Scratch?
It really looks like something a virus would produce....have you swept your computer for viruses recently?

This is really wierd. I imagine it's a virus from somewhere; Everybody who gets this message, do you all go to a certain other website? Even if the SITE is harmless, a simple link or ad can give you a virus.

Please don't spam, pink73187.
I think we have all decided that this is not the Scratch Team's doing... so what's causing it? We all seem to think a virus, and it fits perfectly.
Has this stopped? I haven't seen any of those posts like "I've gotten the message too!" now. If someone's had the message recently, can you please tell us?

I am confident that wasn't a moderator or one of the Scratch Team. They always post in good grammar.
Of course the moderators didn't put it on. I think it's some sort of practical joke!
A very annoying joke, and I'm sure people are mad about it.
But you never know. Any computer geinius could figure out this website and hack it!
Why do people want to get many people mad and not do anything important with their lives!!!!

It's not a virus. And I am very very sure it was andres when he was tired of memcache errors xD
It was a message to himself, these errors shouldn't occur when the site isn't in maintenance mode.

I don't think Andrés would capitalize that and write "OMG!". That just isn't his personality... right?
