I keep my projects' music down to stuff that I like. This includes certain Japanese music.
Though I don't usually use it, maybe once or twice. My stuff is mostly Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance.

Dunno, it just seems that Japanese pop culture is the fad nowadays, and this includes the music as well, so I guess everyone is inclined to put Japanese music into their projects because they like it and they want to.  tongue

Re: Why does everyone put anime/japanese music in projects anymore? lol

I agree. I see alot of Japanese music in projects. ^^' Plus, I use the same type of music in my projects. I really love bands like Slipknot, Korn, MSI, 303, etc. but most of the time the songs include unappropriate themes/words for Scratch. (Sometimes I can use one of their songs though) Most of the japanese music I look at (from Vocaloids, etc.) can be used in projects. It's somewhat easier for me to put them in projects instead of having to doublecheck if a song is okay for submitting in a project.

Edit: By the way. I do check the lyrics of the japanese music I listen to. It's really hard to put in songs from Korn though. Although they dont say lots of curse words, there's one or two hidden in it. Ex. Their song evolution sounds fine until the mid-end.

Yeah I guess Imnot annoyed but its really awkward sometimes because I think that some of the people who put it in dont really know the lyrics they just like it lol.

Well, if it's a really popular song, they might be able to get a translation of the songs online and know the lyrics beforehand prior to putting it in their projects. And if they have a good grasp of the Japanese language, they might be able to understand the lyrics.

Although, perhaps the use of Japanese songs with inappropriate lyrics might tick off somebody from the Japanese Scratch community. And this can be analogously applied to anybody knowing more than one language here on the site.

I never do that, I always use the songs I like  smile  So I always look at translations.  For Gackt or Utada Hikaru songs mainly.
