You can either use the code boxes or do this (credit to Wolfie1996 )
[[b][/b]tag]text[/tag]
You may have to change the tag type in the middle.
The example produces [i]Italics[/i].

You can quote the topic post and look at the text.
Or see Chrischb's above post.

Wow, I'm surprised I haven't seen this post before! It is great!
There are so many complaints about the original guide here, but could this be replaced with the link to that bad guide, so everyone could be led here for help with BBcode?

I learned something!

Will it be ITopic'd? I'll discuss it with the other moderators.
Thank you so much, coolstuff!
I'm so honored! ^_^

You put BBCode tags inside others.
[b[i][/i]]Text[/b] <-- that's how you can do it
[b]Text[/b] <--- that's what you get
You can click Quote on the topic post and take a look to see how I did it.

You could also check the very complete bbcode page
http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/help.php#bbcodeI've seen that... that's where I got the information for the smileys. Anyway, isn't it nice to have a topic about BBCode? And it was fun for me to work on... it took me an hour and a half. But it was enjoyable!

I actually quite rather use this wonderful topic you made instead.
I used to use that page that archmage suggested but when I clicked it once it erased a huge post that I was about to submit (and had worked on it for hours ) because the browser opened it in the same tab. I bookmarked this page on my internet browser, and thanks for taking your time writing this nice guide!
