I'll give my lame English literature skills a try.

Scratch 2.4 has been released! All 3 million users on the now world-famous Scratch website are excited to see the all-new blocks such as "Broadcast [---] to IP [---]", "Change costume to filepath: [---]", "Open up URL: [---]", and of course the new beta 3D rendering - noobs ask every 5 seconds on the forums "ohplz cn u guys tel me how 2 use the 3d blox?".

Sony is considering making, with the help of the Scratch Team, a whole new Scratch program for the PlayStation 14, seeing as Microsoft's Xbox 2520 already supports playing Scratch projects on it, but not making them.

Meanwhile, the Scratch Team starts developing 2.5, said to support online play with the 3D functions, and Archmage's son enjoys his place as the most popular Scratcher - but hackers have attacked his account 3 times without succeding.

Hold on, archmage's son... 10 years... Archmage is 18... Most popular Scratcher...

ARCHMAGE'S SON IS THE MOST POPULAR SCRATCH WHEN ARCHMAGE IS 28??? ARCHMAGE, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING???

Lol jk jk, that was really mean of me. Sorry, I couldn't help it.

Re: Scratch 2.4 - The Distant Future

I think after 10 years things will look very different. As some people have hypothesized (sorry I can't remember their names  sad  ) technological development is increasing at an exponential rate. As one man thought eternal life could be achieved by 2050. So in 10 years I would guess vast changes will have met scratch, if it exists at all. For example if programming languages become able to interpret your thoughts scratch will soon become obsolete.

You can't achieve eternal life. Well except by dying. But, yeah technoligy will be really advanced. Maybe not enough to transport your thoughts on the computer, but pretty darn advanced.

Eternal Life could theoretically be achieved through technology. It may, however, involve sacrificing your body in order to imprint your mind onto a computer

Also, I would really enjoy BYOB and Streak included in Scratch 2.4. Also, the mesh feature with a Snyff interface, a video to gif program, and a live webcam feature that would connect by using Snyff or mesh. That would be nice...  smile

Prediction!:

The makers of Scratch will be working over time and consuming plenty of coffee whilst trying to think of how they can possibly improve Scratch.

Also.. Theyll probably be plenty of new features  big_smile

Same here, I'm 11, what are you like 16 or somethin' like archmage?

That really depends on where you go. You could take a five-year college program, or you could take a year off (working) before college, etc.

In 10 years I'll be 23, and if my life goes according to plan I should be starting my fifth year in university. I could be going there for as much as 7 years O_o

Two things:
1) What will your company be called? (A suggestion) Archmage Home Furnishings?
2) How come everyone says the world will end in 2012  yikes ?
