Has anyone successfully shared a Scratch 1.1 project to the MIT site from OS X Leopard? I get a kernel panic every time I try.

Thanks for the alert. I have not yet tried Scratch on Leopard at all. Does everything else work, including sound playback and record, the note and drum blocks, full-screen mode?

I will pass this on to our super Mac expert (who just got Leopard himself).

Leopard seems to be very buggy at the time.

I'm new to Scratch, but everything seems to work fine on Leopard except for uploading to the public Scratch site. I haven't found any other problems.

The Scratch program will have to use a network port to send the file out, so if there is any security software or firewalls that might cause a possible conflict.

Leopard does have a new firewall built in, and you can let it know to trust Scratch when it sends your project file out to the web:

Your firewall is in System Preerences > Security > Firewall
And there should be an option to 'Set access for specific services and applications'

And which revision of Leopard (OS 10.5. ? ) are you using?

You said you are using Scratch 1.1. Upgrade to Scratch 1.2.1, the current version of Scratch.

I have a feeling you have to be an admin to upload a project. On my user when I try to upload I have to restart my computer. On an Admin user it works fine.

I have discovered the problem to why uploading on Leopard creates a kernel panic! I found out something in the parental controls was creating the panic. When turned off the parental controls scratch uploads fine. When they are turned on, you get a kernel panic every time. I looked in the parental controls and found nothing that could be creating the kernel panic. Therefore it must be a problem with Scratch.
