Re: Talk About "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door"

PRETTY MUCH MY FAVORITE GAME . . . ever. I like the game cube classics better then the new wii games. All though the controls weren't as good, they were a lot funner and well thought out. I don't like Super Paper Mario's style of fighting as much as the turn by turn of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It is also r-e-a-l-l-y funny. There is also SO MUCH MORE TO EXPLORE! I just got stuck at the end of the game when you are trying to get through the maze. I also had a hard time with the job board. Does anyone know how to get through some of the locks in the main / starting area (I forget its name because I haven't played it in a while)? Fun, but awesome. My other top favorites for the game cube would probably have to be Super Mario Sunshine, Pickmin 1 and 2 (they brought it back for the Wii though), Luigi's mansion, and Kirby Airide. Oh, and of course Super Smash Bros . Melee.

Isn't it awesome when you get to battle the shadow queen? I tried and tried, then I just started a new file with my brother. When we FINALLY got back to the shadow queen, it took a few days of trying, but we finally beat her! And, I completely agree on your opinion on the fighting style. Now, me and my brother are working on Super Paper Mario. We're REALLY close to the end, but I'll never forget Paper Mario and the thousand year door.

Never got to the shadow queen. I never actually owned the game; I only ever rented it and borrowed from my friend. I couldn't get past the thousand year door maze. My favorite level was probably the wrestling one. My least favorite would be the one in the ancient tree. It was kind of boring, and I got stuck on it for ages.

My favorite levee was the wrestling, too! But, my least favorite level was twilight town. I know how to get past the maze! Always go to the door with the lamp over it. Once you keep doing this, you will get to the next step towards the shadow queen (the boss battle of the entire game).

Oh, that's cool! Twilight town wasn't my favorite either, but I thought it was kind of funny, plus you get Vanessa (I think that's her name). Also, I forgot to say my second (or possibly tied for favorite) favorite level was the train one. I really liked the high end hotel, it felt like you were actually staying somewhere DECENT for once.  smile  I also liked the boss on the train, and how you have to deliver the diary WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT. I looked at it and got a game over. I had forgotten to save the game that day.  sad

Whoops!  smile  Vanessa, Vivian big difference. XD Mario Kart Double Dash ROCKS! Did you unlock the battle mode Luigi's machine course? My favorite stage would probably be the downtown one. I know the absolute shortest path, plus it has a shortcut, even though it doesn't cut the time.

I didn't unlock Luigi's Machine course, but I did unlock the special cup.

Cool! My favorite kart is the bullet bill one, but I think you unlock it on the special cup. That or mirror mode.

My OS window probably didn't help.  sad  Sorry! If you want one that actually works, look at teammcb's mega games OS. The window works brilliantly on there.

Paper mario & the thousand year door...

That's one of my favourite games of all time. I LOOOOVE the storyline, and battling against the shadow queen (which took me about 30 tries! XD). I also love going down the pit of 100 trials, or at least that's what I think it's called. It was such an adventure, and when I got to bonetail, I was so pumped. I even managed to beat him on my first try! Man I love that game, it's so much fun.  big_smile

The furthest I ever got in the pit of 100 trials was around 50. I died then  sad

But anyways, it took me so many tries to beat the shadow queen, I started a whole new file!

Hey, does anyone know how to get that one badge in hooktail's castle? I read in the cheat codes, that if you get that one girl mouse's trouble, and you find the badge, she'll join your team! I saw the badge before, it's on top of this staircase with some missing stairs. I tried all of my party members (I think) but I can't get it.

Well, in the walkthrough all it said that she'd join your team once you do her trouble.

Try one of the specialized walkthroughs on ign or gamefaqs. Usually, they have some for extra things, like badges.
