You know how people always complain that they cant get there games on the front page well heres an idea how about we have points that we get daily every day about 5 every day people will be able to bid there points for somthing they want like there games on the front cover! So the top 3 bidders everyday get there game of there choose on the front cover (only 1 game of there choose) 3 top bidders selected and ther games added to front page and thats the great idea i had let me know what you think fellow scratch users and please staff let me know what you think about the idea!

They cannot bid for their friends game! They may be able to trade in the future if they add this feature but you can't bid for your freinds game!
Once you confirm that you want "this project" to be bided on there is no take backs and they should warn you about that before you do that!

No the scratch company thought that it wasn't such a great idea for scratch but ,
i still thing allowing you to pay for avertising using points would be the best idea tell me what you think!

This is ridiculous. It's bribery! It's like saving up lots of money to spend out and get on the front page! The front page would be cluttered with projects not worthy of getting on, and it would be chaotic. This would never work.

This will never be added. After all, you could save up and suddenly place a thousand points on a project you like, and it's on the front page.
And after all, you stated:

They used to. But when they updated the website at the end of May (2009), they got rid of it. It was replaced by 'My Friend's Latest Projects'.

I don't think you should do anything like paying points to get it on the front page because there are so many projects and no-one would go through them all every month or whatever just to find the best one to go on the front page.
I think that the front page is actually really good right now, with latest friend projects and most loved, etc. I just think that they should put more than three projects for each section at a time, after all, everyone wants their project up there, so try and get as many as possible there at one time.
Also, the development area should be filled with projects that are helping us to learn new techniques for scratch or just be abolished, because there are just all the "500,000 projects - yay!" projects on there which I find REALLY annoying!

Well I'm sorry but what about if we were fed up with one subject like "We have just reached over 500,000 projects!"? What if I wanted a different subject like how to get new blocks? I'm sure it would never be chaotic and it could actually happen.

What?!?!?!?! And what about diversity, value of project itself, fair play? I agree with Jonathanpb, it's ridiculous! What next? You'd need points to download projects if someone selects that option? Pay-per-view? Buying points with real money? Scratch is educational project. Education and knowledge is priceless, but it can't be simply bought. Period.

New blocks always go to Advanced Topics or Suggestions, OVER n THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND! always go to Inspiration and More or Announcements. IMHO, it's really odd people want to pay to get their projects to front page. You have to be complete [this shouldn't be here] to do this. It's easier (and cheaper) to make better projects. MHO ends.

The Scratch Team have selected 500,000 projects! stuff to get on the front page in the 'Projects selected by the Scratch Design Studio'. So that means that they don't mind. And that subject's going away anyway.

For other subjects, think about it. Stuff gets on because people like it! You don't see stuff on the front page that's so terrible (I mean a horrible game that is in poverty from quality), do you? And things like art (which you seem to consider a waste of space) gets on because people like it! That's why Maki-Tak got famous... her animations and art.

And if you're fed up with the 'useless' stuff on the front page, there's nothing you can do about it.

I do wish there could be better stuff on there though...

If this stuff gets approved, it should have its own section on the front page. And what should it be called? 'Projects selected by Bribery'. That is what it is. Bribery.

And below, we have three lovely projects! Wha-hoo! No more good scrollers, puzzles, games, art, and the like! We can view all the un-deserving projects we like... won't that be nice???

I can't wait for this to be put into effect.
