Re: First Scratch Forum Moderators

MyRedNeptune, In what ways besides advice did you do to become a forum moderator? Is it mostly based on the maturity level?

Re: First Scratch Forum Moderators

I know it takes a lot of maturity to be a forum moderator, but do you think I am mature enough? I would honestly like to make Scratch a more safe and fun place for everyone! I would love to be a part of an important, mature job!  smile  And by the way, I am usually up until midnight just about every night browsing through the forums and brainstorming ideas. So, please consider me; but if I am rejected; I will not be offended.
Thank you and,
SCRATCH ON!

Probably means "I Don't Know".  Still not sure what the issue is here.  AngelGirl13, maybe you could explain further what the problem is?

It's most likely that she wants to delete her user account for good . . . Am I right? It would be better if you asked this question in the "All about Scratch" section, or contact the Scratch Team.

Re: First Scratch Forum Moderators

angelGirl13,
Please ask your question as a new topic in "All about Scratch", as it has nothing to do with the First Scratch Moderators.

Being a Forum moderator doesn't really add much to the help you can give to the Scratch community. The only thing is that moderators have more authority. But you can offer great help to the community nonetheless and be respected for it as much as any moderator.

Cheers!  smile

Re: First Scratch Forum Moderators

I could be of assistance to being a forum moderator. I want Scratch to be fun, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Unless you think I don't give good advice. Well I can give advice, but sometimes I can't word it right. Still, being a forum moderator would be nice... but oh well.

I helped my sister learn Scratch. I learned a lot on my 6 months of Scratch. I guess I oughtta share that foreknowledge.

Re: First Scratch Forum Moderators

Oldschooler2, it doesn't look like you use the forums often enough to be a moderator (only 15 posts in 5 months).  Being a moderator takes up a lot of time (which might be better spent writing programs in scratch or teaching others).

Re: First Scratch Forum Moderators

Oldschooler2: it's so cool you showed Scratch to your sister. There is a lot of people who love to read a detailed description of how you went through the process of learning and then teaching. It would be great if you could write about it and post it on the Educator forums.

Yes, I only made 15 posts in 5 months but I don't see how that affects one becoming a forum moderator. Look, so what if I barely post anything in the forums, does it really matter? I can be helpful but I take it as you need to make a ton of posts just to be a moderator. Really, I can be helpful, but if it takes 200+ posts to be a forum moderator then why should I bother.
