Text Glitch - The Great Comeback!
This is Scratch 1.4, and the Text Glitch is STILL NOT FIXED! When I was editing the text in the sprite, the... Yes, YES, text glitch occured. Everything disappeared!
Converting my Scratch projects to Python!

Yes, I'm sorry to say, the Disappearing Text bug is alive and well in 1.4. The development team is having a hard time pinning it down. If you ever come up with a repeatable series of steps that always cause the bug, PLEASE post the project along with the steps. Then maybe it can be tracked down and fixed

talking about that i sometimes have a glitch where i make a sprite and its not there

So, I was working on PenScript, editing the help screen, with about 14 programs running background. First, the text started to act like I came to limit: The single letter is highlighted, and whatever I type, it doesn't show. Then, I relocate the cursor and place it again in the place where the first text bug occured. After several letters typed it, the text in sprite disappears. Then, when I click "OK", text in every sprite disappear, and when I click Save button, almost every text disappears... I'll try to fetch some screenshots...

Hmm, I used to encounter the text glitch whenever some very big application (or a large number of small applications) were running in the background while working with the Scratch interface. I wonder if maybe the text glitch is due to memory issues.
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease

It happens to me when I delete all the text in one go on a costume. And also, I don't know whether this helps, but if I go off scratch, then go back on, the problem is still there, but all I have to do then is save it, and all the text comes back. Another piece of information you may find useful is that is seems to happen when I have a very large scratch project, usually with lots of songs, it may be something to do with the fact that scratch can't handle that much information.

Right now I'm trying to remix this project, but whenever I try to edit the text of a sprite (particularly in the costume "smiley" of the sprite "Exec"), the text glitch happens.

You...found what the glitch is! I had that TERRIBLE glitch happen to my really long games that I took a long time to make!! I made a project for the class about the Digestive System, and it cleared everything!!!
