I've gotten this problem before when trying to convert media files from one type to another.
I have no idea what could be the cause of this, but if it were my guess, perhaps whenever you import your Micheal Jackson songs into Scratch, when Scratch tries to convert it for project use, the file conversion causes the VM to crash.
You could attempt to find another file of the same song on the internet somewhere and seeing if that file works. Or if, not, maybe you can find help on vmware.com (hard to navigate, but, this is pretty much the site for VMs, so hopefully you could find some help there to fix the VM problem).

Okay, there are 4 error handling levels in scratch:
1) Internal bug catching. This is where scratch itself checks that the requested action won't lead to an error (like the 1.2 and under dialog about clicking the delete button when there are no variables).
2) Squeak walkbacks. These are those unflattering red boxes that show up upon a more major error. These are the ones used to hack scratch, if you are knowledgable on the subject.
3) Squeak crashes. Denounced by a white rectangle in the corner, with black text. This is where the squeak program has crashed, but the executable hasn't. This is a rare occurrence if you are only using scratch (not modifying it)
4) VM (virtual machine) crashes. This is where the executable goes kaput. And this is what you had. This is the third worst thing that can happen (followed only by system freezes and system crashes), and is usually a problem with the compatibility of squeak, the action it wants to perform, and the OS. This was triggered, for instance, in Streak 0.0 when the user switched to a non-32 bit display depth, and entered presentation mode. There are other in-betweens, like a scratch (morphic) crash, where squeak works, but scratch is gone, or a squeak freeze, etc.
What I recommend is to see if a) you can get the original version of the file, that wasn't uploaded, and b) if you can see if it was created in another version of scratch, and try it in that. and c) I think that it is the
178763520 MPEGFile>audioReadBuffer:stream:channel:
line that is the problem. This could be that the media file is too large for the buffer, and the file overflows, the VM attempts to interpret it as code, can't, and crashes.
You could maybe ask the author of the project to give you a version without that file.
Hope this helps, I know how you feel.
P.s. I will be away as of 16 hours from now, and won't be back until sept. So that may be why my next response will be a bit late

I am trying to import it into a project of my own.
If you have Audacity, you COULD load the .MP3, then save as a .WAV, because my scratch loads .wav files, maybe yours will too!
