I think you should have a choice of disabling remixing and downloading if you want !

The Scratch Team and other users of the forums have gone through this before. The Scratch Team always says no. Why no? The main reason is because Scratch is about sharing your stuff with the world, not keeping it huddled up to yourselves.

If you don't want someone to remix your project, simply don't post your project online.  smile
The point of SHARING your project online is to share it with the world—so they can see it and remix-it.  smile
