I am glad that the byline for this forum is that no question is too basic, because I am as noob as a noob can get. As such, I am sure that I will not use the correct jargon.
Anyway, I downloaded Scratch 1.4 for OS X yesterday and am having a blast. I have already created the rudiments of a basic Quidditch game, complete with Chasers, Beaters, Keepers, Seekers, Quaffle, Bludgers and a Snitch.
My question is that given the canvas size, either my sprites are way too small to see clearly or going to be too big for the Quidditch pitch.
Is it possible to create a larger canvas? I am sure that it it isn't called a canvas, but I am referring to the size of the area in which the program runs.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

no, you cant get the size of the scratch canvas any larger, try changing the size of the players with the <set size to( )%> block, and change it by 5-10 untill you reach the right size, and make sure that you have it on the large size of viewing the canvas, not the tiny.
good luck

I actually will just draw the sprites to what is the optimum size (currently I just using a Q for the Quaffle, C1 for the first Chaser, etc.).
How do you activate the large viewing size of the canvas?
Told you I was a Noob.

Duh. I figured it out.
It is the button above the stage.
Just wanted to post the followup in case anyone else is as clueless as I am.

lol, yeah, so where you using the small one all the time?

Yeah, I was. I have posted my 0.1 and 0.2 versions of my game. If you take a look, you will see why I was struggling so bad with the small canvas.
There are still lots of bugs, but since I only have only spent about 4 hours total working with Scratch, I am pretty happy with what I have accomplished. This is an amazing scripting language.
