Meow and other things sound fine but recordings make a popping sound

PLEASE HELP, In 1.2.1 1.3, 1.3.1 & things I've Recorded had a popping sound and the meow, the other sounds that came with scratch and sounds that I've Imported from other things sound fine and I have tried a USB mic. and it also made a popping sound and I've tried sound recorder & it sounds fine and in 1.4RC and it sounds a little fast & yes I know it's an RC so HELP, SCRATCH ON.

this happens to so many people 1.4 i think there working on fixing it

Either the microphone quality is bad (i doubt it)  smile  or the recorder is bad (probably)  sad
