Help downloading!

...Erm, when I download stuff it just opens scratch with the program I last worked on.  Help, please?

are you saying when you download something, you double click it, scratch opens but with a different project? hm.mabye you should try to click on the thing you downloaded from your dektop

Yep, that's what I'm saying.  And it doesn't appear on the desktop!  I'll try downloading it with IE.

hmm, i have a pc and it works fine..... wierd,  i recommend  OHHH! i think i know, are u still using 1.3 and downloading 1.4? cuz that does not work

It also might matter which version of IE you're running... You can try downloading the latest version of IE; IE 8 or you can try Firefox  hmm

I AM using Firefox.  And I tried IE six or seven.  I doubt 8 will work.  Thanks for your help, though!  And I restarted my comp to no avail.  Sorry.   sad

i have firefox to and workx fine/ answer found  smile  go on my documents, go on scratch projects, all the projects you downloaded appear there. click on em they SHOULD open  big_smile

UGH!!! ill find you a solution somehow. wjen u doemload it, there should be a window called downloads. right click and go on go to containing folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\(User)\Local Settings\Temp
Go there and when you download select the circle (o) Save File and that should save it on your desktop.

So you're using a netbook? Maybe there is still a glitch in the system of scratch working on netbooks maybe try contacting scratch somehow...   neutral   hmm   sad

yikes   big_smile  Thanks for all the info, but I don't know there must be a problem with scratch running on netbooks because I have the most piece of junk 18GB hard drive Win Xp laptop you ever did see that runs scratch perfect. I'd click the contact us at the bottom of this page to cantact scratch with your problem or see if other netbook users are having the same problem...  hmm

Ok you don't have to pester scratch, but find out if other netbook users are having the same problem. To do that I would start a new post called like Netbook users Help! so you can attract other netbook users and find out if they're having that problem too... Then If the problem is big enough scratch will look into fixing it...
