Signature problems

This is a problem I encountered with the forums. I have set my signature, and it displays it on my profile screen. But, even though I posted a message after I set my signature, it isn't there!  Do I have to type a certain message or symbol at the end of the post? Please help!

You can only have a signature after 50 posts.
