People at MIT, you should make scratch for the wii, and you would buy it as wiiware. You could use the motion control, pointing, and you should also be able to change what the cursor is in game play so its not gust this big bulky hand. And you would probably get some money too! I'd love this, but I don't think MIT would do this. People who have no idea what Scratch is could download it, then use it to post inappropriate projects. I personally think Scratch has good publicity, and a kind reputation, and something like that possibly happening could convince less people to join. I really like this idea, but I wonder if somehow if they did it, it could be worked to only be used by already registered users.

Well, I think that scratch would benifit greatly from a Wiiware debut. That would increase knowledge of Scratch to the general community. Wii specific commands like "Remote Rumble On _____" or "When Wiimote Swung" etc. They could have a Scratch channel where you can log in to your computer account OR create a new account and post Wii specific games you can only play on Wii. About the pricing, I think MIT should place a small price on the software because of all the new stuff, maybe 800 Wii points, but it will pay off when you make new games. Hear my plea, MIT! Put Scratch on Wii!

It would be cool if they did this. It would be free from the shop channel and I have more block ideas.

The Scratch team is not going to do this. Scratch just wouldn't fit for the Wii, it is for computers. It just doesn't make sense.

-_- I don't like it when people come and say "Oh, this is never going to happen."
I've heard of Linux distrobutions that are mad for the wii. You might be able to get Scratch using those but it would need to be Perl compatible to run the install script.

People that have no idea what scratch is can download normal scratch, then use it to post inappropriate projects.

Yeah, please don't bump old topics. Also, I'm saying if you put Scratch on the Wii, it would make more possibilities for inappropriate projects, because the amount of people who have Wiis is a lot more than the amount of people who know about the Scratch website.

Exactly. Besides That Though, I Think It Would Be A Good Idea To Make Scratch On The Wii.
