In case anyone is curious about what caching is...
There are so many new projects coming in to the Scratch website that we've had to use a technology called "caching" to keep things running smoothly. Caching works by taking a snapshot of a few of the latest projects and posting them in the newest project section. Some projects show up, while some others don't - it depends on when the caching happens.

This means that only a few of the newest projects will get shown on the front page. And while all projects will make it to the newest projects gallery, it may take as long as 10 minutes for them to show up. The advantage of doing it this way is the Scratch website runs much faster - which is better for everyone.
