Should the Scratch player go 16:9?
Been awhile, I have more free time now that it's summer 
Making the Scratch player wider would be a nice step forward. Kinda like YouTube did. The old projects would just get black bars. Would this be hard to do?

It would be about 3 seconds work on the java end, another day on the squeak end.
I have made a working prototype with a resizable stage, but it is still buggy.

We would have to change a lot of things. It would eaisier just to make it bigger hoirzontally and vertically at the same time.
The verticle side would have to always be 2/3 the size of the horizontal side, as it is now. That way, black bars would not be needed for older projects.
