List problem

I'm on 1.4.
I told it to replace item (a) with item(a+1) but instead it replaced item (a+2) with item (a+1). I don't know if it's my fault or not but please help!

Hi scmb1 - do you have a project shared that shows the problem?  That's probably the easiest way to track it down. 

Does the problem occur in the Scratch program or online?  Or both?

I'll see if I can work it out, and if I can't I'll share it.
