Not sure where this should go. I just feel like a lot of people (you could say me too) are just making kinda boring projects all asking:
what's your name. Then Hello (name)! People should use the ask block, but not making an entire project about it.... It's like making a project with when right and when left arrow keys change X position then posting it. What's the point of sharing something anybody can make in VERY LITTLE time?
P.S. Maybe there should be a rants forum.

Wait a minute, there are console-mode simulations, encoding and decoding projects (Don't tell me Crypton is teh first), games which use it for things... Yes, there are projects about "ask" block, but there are also projects which use it for really cool stuff.

people just need to be more creative with their use of the new ask block. Try checking out how my new project uses the block

people are just trying out the new feature. I think it's fine, but a project can include the ask block, it just can't be entirly based off of it.
I do think the ask block is cool.

I AM TRYING TO SAY THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE USING THE ASK FUNCTION FOR THE SAME, SIMPLE IDEA WITHOUT ANYTHING ELSE IN THE PROJECT. There are projects that use it well, but some only use that block for "whats your name" then "Hi name" then the project is over.

I do agree that there are a lot of fairly simple projects out there. But, we do have to realise that the target age for scratch is 9 and up, the majority being between 11 and 14. For the younger end, these projects are not as simple as we perceive it.

I am barely 10. The project seems way too simple.

I.... agree.
EDIT: I did test it out, but I didn't post it. Don't you think that's what evreybody should do?

I suppose that one way to avoid the scratch server from becoming larded with frivolous and very simple projects is to implement some sort of ranking system... However, all this goes against the whole idea of a totally 'open' scratch community.
Any ideas?
