Is there something wrong with the home page?
The last "newest" project is from an hour ago and I just uploaded a project http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/scmb1/593239 and it's online but never went to newest project.

There's usually a bit of a lag between the time you upload a project and the time it reaches the front page. It will get there soon enough if you're patient to wait for it

It can take a long time, especially during times when there are so many new projects uploaded at around the same time. Likewise, perhaps you may have missed it.

My project never got online either. The only way I can see it is if I go to my profile. I tried searching for it, but didn't find it. Here is the link:

Ive noticed this too and I think it may be a glitch with the site because if you look on the home pages newest projects and then click see more then you can see that the ones on the homepage are from a while ago and yet the list under see more has tons of new projects. - May sound confusing but its true -
