Wouldn't something simular to Mesh be the solution?
Yes, but Mesh is just a bit too complicated at the moment. Can you imagine an average 6-year-old programming in Mesh in its current state? It's too difficult to understand.
Well I doubt 6-year-olds are using x/y, enabling remote sensor connections, or using any of the operator blocks either. Shouldn't there be some bigger things for older kids?
Either learn a programming language or use a mod, thats the only 2 options for the big kids. Annoyingly.

Perhaps a block creater?
I dont want to use Streak, Panther, BYOB, and all the other mods just to get mesh and other features.
Whats wrong with using the mods? and I think only Panther and BYOB offer block creation.

Takes up more room on computer and cant upload to scratch site.

I don't have any ideas.

More room for more possibilities, and I know im a panther dev, but Panther will hopeful have its own sharing site eventualy.

Definitely mesh. And the open browser block.
Isn't the shift-click method good enough? They're not going to put an open browser block in because people might stumble upon it accidentally and mess up Scratch.

What about scratch V 2.0 ? Is that ever going to come out?
It might, but the next version is 1.5, it goes on like that, 1.6 maybe after that.
no, scratch 2.0 is next.

Interesting people are still discussing this. Scratch 2.0 is next and should be out Fall 2011.

I would like the Mesh feature again.
You could create pages for scripts in each sprite. They could carry different scripts.
Like you could label them. But it might get confusing.
Maybe custom variables? You could select color, font, and some template thing.
I just love those new operator blocks. Well that's pretty much all I want for now. What does the Mesh thing do?
OMG that was answered already like 500,000,000 times!!

What's Mesh, by the way?keroro645 wrote:
An online feature only available in the beta, that is not included in the final version or the RC.
Is there a way to get the beta version NOW?

And i dont like having to use Panther for one thing, BYOB for the next, Bingo for the thing after....
Perhaps a hidden Squeak Block Creator?
Or Flash. *shudders*
I know Actionscript, but I hate USING it.

How about this: Low-quality Scratch (like minus all the big images and stuff, just basic images, like white blocks.) for slower computers, because it's a big pain in the neck to have to wait a while after placing or removing a block for long scripts.

I once made a color c m y block in Panther.
