Hi Everyone!
I am taking a class this summer on Integrating Multimedia Projects into my curriculum. One of the topics we are discussing is about the use of animation and videos in our projects. I thought I would ask what your thoughts are on the use of Scratch for project based learning. Any and all thoughts are welcome!
Thanks,
Chris

It's a perfect medium for simple animation, since you can animate by costume change and also by movement.
In addition its simple to use, and equally easy to add dialogue either by recording voices or using the "Say" command.

Hi Chris,
I taught Scratch to my year 8 ICT class (13 year olds) and they loved it. I let them play and explore for a bit, showed them each others projects to give them ideas and then set a task of creating a movie or game on an issue of their choice. It was great. They came up with projects about littering, bullying, etc and most seemed to really enjoy it.
Good luck with it.
