Rosewing's ears swiveled to a bird chirping up in a tree. Her pupils got wide as she focused on her prey. She scrambled up the tree trunk, and tried to swat the bird down like Eaglesong had. It fell, but caught itself by flying away. It let out a shrill alarm call. "Dang it! This is not my day!" she grumbled.

It's too late - Neptune doesn't know how to use her powers for anything but evil.

Eaglesong caught the scent of a mouse, and quietly turned towards it. The mouse had not been scared away by the bird's alarm, and had continued eating the food it held between its paws. Eaglesong slowly crouched and tried to imitate the way Rosewing had stalked her mouse earlier. The mouse would have had to be deaf not to hear the racket Eaglesong made as she lunged clumsily for it. It turned and walked away, carrying its food, and not appearing the least bit frightened.

Owlstar leaped over to Rosewing as she approached. "This smell... It's so strange," he said, looking around. "I'm following it," he explained. Suddenly, there was a loud noise of breaking twigs and loud pawsteps. Something large was moving through the forest. Owlstar's ears lay flat as he pressed to the ground, watching the strange creature walk out of the bushes. It was large, noisy, and walked on two legs, huffing and breathing loudly. Owlstar froze in place, eyeing the creature. He had never seen anything like it before.

Owlstar hissed, for the creature seemed to notice them and turned in their direction. It raised what seemed to be its front paw, holding a long, dark, shiny pole in it. Owlstar dashed into the thicket, following Rosewing, but the next moment stumbled on the ground, howling in piercing pain in his back leg. He was deaf from a loud noise that came beforewards.

Owlstar yowled. He tried to get up on his legs, but fell because of the burning pain. He could see through the mist in his eyes the creature moving slowly towards him. Owlstar rolled on the ground, trying to stand up and falling again and again.
