Spottedfeather nodded and wailed as a slimy bundle slid into the nest. (Ew XD) She breathed a sigh of relief, but gasped again as another kit was ready to be birthed. (Alhpie, you describe the kit.)

BTW, Maplekit is going to have three legs. Say that the umblical cord was wrapped around his leg, and it was dangling when they unwrapped it. That's what happened to my aunt's cat, Chester.
