Editor with real text writing and mouse scrolling

It would be so nice, if I could use my mouse wheel in the programming area,
or have a text-based editor for longer code, (using only the mouse is very slow)

when I have big programs, many <if><else> blocks ...

My computer slows down. To wirte numbers in the fields is very hard.
The reaction of the programming field is after the event ...
And many <<  <and>  >><(  <>>  )><(  <>>  )><<  <or>  >>
are also hard to coordinate with small displays. (it's also hard for me, and I have 1600 x 1200 dots)

Maybe collapse a program-tree or some tricks like in text based editors would be good.

And for older childs, maybe a real text mode for faster writing.

KIDs and EXPERT-Mode ;-)

Also with the option to shut off the SLOW-Down effect. (shut off the Debug-Mode)

Re: Editor with real text writing and mouse scrolling

Ya, that would be cool. I'm working on a project now that has lots of if<>s and it is so slow to work on that it's painful. Some software(like Finale) have ways to do stuff using keys on the keyboard. For example, on Scratch, you could press i for if, e for if- else, r for repeat, f for forever, ect. That would be really cool.
