OnTheFly MickeyMouseVoice change tempo/duration of a sound in SCRATCH

On the fly Mickey Mouse. I mean, I can record my own voice as a sound (file)

But the <set{ TEMPO }to( )> (there is no TEMPO-Block in pink "Sound")
has no effect on the <play sound[ my voice ]>

I want to change the duration, so my voice would be higher when it plays faster, and lower when it plays slower

SCRATCH without a scratch-function :-(

Is there any function to speed up a sound without an external program and new saving?

Maybe like the graphic effects for the sprites, there are also sound effects for the sounds, that would be sooouuu coooouul ;-)

It would be cool but I don't know of any way to do this in Scratch currently.  Maybe you can post something in Suggestions?  Or I can move this post, if you want.

At Scratch Day, someone asked if they were working on that. The user jay (a scratch team member) said they had tried that, but they couldn't get it to work. For now you should just stick with Audacity.

Re: OnTheFly MickeyMouseVoice change tempo/duration of a sound in SCRATCH

Maybe it is a good idea to move this post into "Suggestions"

the problem with external Audio-Editoring-Software is, that I have to save the same "speech", "voicemessage", "noise" ... in a lot of durations. And this will cost much of diskspace. My project will grow up and is with some audio after this very big.

For longer MP3s it would be also a good idea to
<play sound[  "play from timepoint .... sec. to timepoint ... sec."

But, this can be realized by cutting a file into pieces and jump from one file after
playing to another file.
Maybe, if the pieces are small enough it is possible to have a effect like "fast playing"
Play not every "frame" (piece of the soundfile), only every 2nd, 3rd or what ever.

Maybe it works, but a lot of work for one funy test
