Actually you can. It's just that Scratch is too slow to handle it. By making lines that vary in length and filling them with textures, you *can* make 3d. That's how the real people do it.
I'm afraid it is a long and difficult process, one which is impractical in Scratch. I'm sorry, but consider this a "you can't"
