well, maybe 1 you are trying to use the one on the front page, or 2 you don't have the right level computer.

As far as I know, the 1.4 release candidate is still available to everybody. The link is here:

Which download option are you trying to use? The windows installer, the windows zip, or the Mac installer?
And what kind of an error are you seeing?
