is it possible to upload a project that is larger than 10mb?
Because Scratch Galixses the game is getting pretty large. And i dont want to have to put it on a diffrent website, and have people download it from there to play it.

Just compress the game, you have to make it under 10 megabytes. There is no way around it.

Will compressing it make it bad online? and will downloading it still keep it normal?

Yeah, you'll hafta compress. The Scratch team won't let you upload anything larger than 10MB onto the website.
Will it be ok to download?

compressing does what it says, it lowers the quality but lowers the disk space.

Does the quality go back to normal if you download it?

No, the file would still be 10MB if that were to be true. It's server space the team is worried about, much more than online performance. No, it won't go down. If you only compress it by a little the quality won't go down too much.

ok, so your saying that, compressing it only lowers the online performance?

Performance is not affected. It just changes the look of your images and the quality of your sounds.
The real reason for this limit is because no one wants to load a project past 10 megabytes. Most game sites have this limit.

Electricmen 2 is about 12Mb... Compression affects quality, but can even increase performance. If you want to make possible to download uncompressed sb file, you can send it to rapidshare or other site like that, and then link it in the project notes.

Sometimes if people have a really good flash game they can email the site admin and the site admin will give a person special permissions to upload larger files. Large scratch games are usually just uncompressed.

Ahhh... right, cool, so have you had to do that then? if you know about it.
