Why are there no monitors for effects?

Scratch predefines monitors for most things that can be changed: position, direction, volume, size, etc. I find it strange that there is no monitor that allows the user to track the current values after executing "change ... effect by ..." or "set ... effect to ...".

I know, I believe this has been mentioned before. It is a great idea, but you *can* use variables. Just set the variable to 0 and set the effect to 0, then whenever you change the effect, change the variable too.
