Just a basic question

I have already downloaded the scratch 1.4. (find it off google). But i know that a new and improved typing system is in there. I cant see it when actully BUILDING the scratch project. Can you help me?

Maybe you are looking for the Ask block in the Sensing tab?  It takes input from the user and loads it into the "answer" block.
