ok being a person with a ridiculous 20 nerf guns I'm able to tell you which nerf guns you want to buy so here's my reviews on each gun:
#1 rapid 10 fire
ammo: 10 (any bullet)
fire type: rapid fire
range: long
notes:
-actually hurts somewhat
-easy loading, good size
-perfect gun
#2 maverick
ammo: 6 (any bullet)
fire type: single shot
range: very long
notes:
-small and good
-does clog, but you'll learn how to stop that
-open barrel so you can load on the go
-cheap price, you can buy a ton of these
#3 rapid 20 fire
ammo: 20 (any bullet)
fire type: super fast/fast
range: moderate long
notes:
-good for a charge
-open barrel so you can load on the go
-mine broke, it's slightly cheaply made
#4 nite finder
ammo: 1 (any bullet, but streamline)
fire type: single shot
range: long or even incredibly long
notes:
-laser site helps somewhat for aiming
-can be modded for unbelievable range and power
-really cheap price
#5 nerf dart tagger 10 shot gun (dunno what it's called)
ammo: 10 (any bullet)
fire type: single shot
range: moderate
notes:
-open barrel
-sadly sometimes the bullets will fall out of the barrel
#6 longshot
ammo: 7 (streamline bullets only)
fire type: single shot
range: long
notes:
-this gun is not good for superb range even though it's huge
-magazine system is great for tons of ammo
-clogs easily sometimes
-front gun isn't that useful
#7 reactor
ammo: 6 (nerf ball)
fire type: fast single shot
range: short
notes:
-your grenade launcher
-alone it sucks, paired with a maverick you will pwn
-fire rate is very useful
#8 Vulcan
ammo: 25 (any bullet)
fire type: slow rapid fire
range: random
notes:
-as said the range is random, big problem
-clogs very easily, the biggest problem
-not a fast enough fire rate to make it half decent
-DO NOT BUY THIS GUN! IT IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE!
#9 recon
ammo: 6 (streamline only)
fire type: single shot
range: short
notes:
-good ammo supply because of magazines
-this is a bullet gun! * is up with the range! it fails!
-clogs easily sometimes
#10 buzz saw
ammo: 3 (nerf ball)
fire type: fast single shot
range: short
notes:
-very noisy so your enemy will hear you, just great
-pathetic range for so much noise
obviously these are not all the nerf guns, but some of them I don't know where to place and yes all these guns are ranked, so I suggest you stock up on rapid 10 fires and mavericks! I have 3 rapid 10 fires and 4 mavericks
just a little proof that I do own all of these:

All I have is a badly treated Tech Target Gun. I don't reccomend it's use on fights but it's good for begginers, and to train.
I'll write a review of it on your style, you can add it to your post if you want:
TECH TARGET GUN:
Ammo: 3
Fire type: Single shot
Range: Short, 20 metres at most.
Notes:
-This weapon comes along with a target on the Tech Target set, so it's good if you need training.
-This weapon isn't too good for wars. As I've mentioned above it has a low range, and you have to reload it manually.
-If you want to train but don't want this weapon for the reason mentioned above, I suggest you get a Maverick: It has the same size and it costs $10 less, so you can use the other $10 on more darts or another gun.

i have the vulcan, your right its extremely unreliable, very heavy and sucks
btw @ adriangl i would get the nerf dart tag pistol because its cheap and its probably my favourite gun, it can also attatch on to bigger guns so its easier to carry around and it shoots about just as far as the longshot, thats my reccommendation

I don't like nerf guns:
-REALLY short range
-Darts are TOO expensive to be used as a bullet (so you run out of ammo really easily)
-Horrible accuracy
-Guns are low quality
-Over all, play airsoft

I've heard Airsoft weapons are way more expensive than Nerf, and you need a lot of protection to play with them since they use pellets.
As for the darts, that's why some guy invented the famous Stefan Darts. I'm not sure if you need to mod the guns, though...

You know, I built a homemade nerf gun:
ammo: 1 (any bullet)
fire type: single shot
range: At least 100 ft or so.
notes:
-has bad loading, but makes up for it in range.
-will probably hurt if shot at close range.
-if you know how to build it, it only costs about $5.00

-you're right that they don't have good range, but with some modding, the range can be pretty good.
-The darts only cost about 25 cents each, but if you get Buzz Bee darts, it's 51 for $10!
-Not horrible, but I suppose accuracy is pretty bad compared with an airsoft gun.
-But they're also MUCH cheaper.
-Airsoft hurts like heck. Nerf doesn't.

Just read a Wiki article about it and I was wrong - all you need is eye protection.

Yeah, you were wrong. Airsoft guns don't hurt. BB guns do hurt. Also peelet blank guns. I do have a (modded) airsoft M4 Carbine which hurts(Again, modded), but with lower weighing BBs, it doesn't hurt at all.

I have a nerf pistol, costs $10 and is the best nerf gun. Plus I have an utterly horrible recon. Also unless you have hundreds of darts, the get lost easily, even in a small house.
The nice thing about airsoft is that you don't need to worry about darts and running out of ammo, Plus the unenjoyable duty of collecting fired darts.
I don't play the "PRO" Airsoft with metal guns that cost a lot of money, I just have cheaper guns. Plus as long as your eyes are covered and you have some jeans and a shirt, they don't hurt. you must be thinking of paintball.

I still think nerf is more fun, especialy when you have an exclusive gun with three or four times the range of an average nerf gun.

rich? no.
crazy about nerf guns? yes.
not that that's a bad thing...
