Why do you need to export the graphic? I thought you were going to use the paint editor?

Oh BTW, do wizards at the wizards academy have wands (that could be another menu button)?

I guess I'll replace the magician with a knight, and call it something else.

Sure, and i don't want to have to draw a new wizard hat every time I make a button, and I'm going to add it to my wizard RPG folder I made so i can zip it up when the game is finished and if you want the game, test, and used resources, you just download the zip file with everything.

Thanks,I'm going to put all the files and other stuff into a folder than zip it up and upload it to a websuite we make for the game or something so people can see the sprites that we used, tests that we did, concept art and notes all outside of the game. I could make a website for the game if you guys wanted me too, and we could even do live chat on it using google chat directly in the web page. Should I make a site?

The new menu is done, each button is some kind of wizard gear.

And I have some mingame ideas:

Quick Cast: You are challenged to try to defeat a bunch of wizards with one hit K.O. spells. Press space to use the spell. If you get it first, you go to the next round. If the AI beats you, you lose.

Arena: You are throw into an arena filled with monsters, survive as long as possible! Normal gameplay, you get gold for each monster killed and for every 30 seconds you survive.

Crystal Destroyer: A wizard's version of brick breaker. Your paddle is a wand, the ball is some kind of spell like magic missle. The brick are different kinds of gems. Red=1 hit, Orange=2 hits, Yellow=3 hits, Green=4 hits, Blue=5 Hits, Gray=Invincible.

Any other ideas? I got the Quick Cast idea from Quickdraw in kirby. Also, maybe boss rush, you choose 2 one-use items to use, then you have to defeat all of the bosses in order with no revives or anything.

I guess so, but I 've seen that in Kirby before and it is HARD. Oh and what would the bosses be, because there is an actual (kind of) storyline to the game, and it wouldn't make sense if you beat a major boss in a mini game.

BTW, the password thing is being kind of delayed, but I'll work on it ASAP.

I've been thinking about it, and it might still be possible to have the game "saved" online. What we would have to do is kind of have a log that a player fills out everyday on the forums, and then we'd update the player's information on the actual project. It would take a lot of work (especially if the game become popular), but if all 3 or 4 of us pitched in, we might be able to manage it. We could always have a set time in the day when we update it (i.e. save information is updated every other day at 4 p.m.).

Tell me what you guys think about the idea. Could we pull it off?

Edit: To make it easier to handle, and so the Scratch project doesn't get overloaded with information, we could have different "Game Arenas". We could have maybe a limit of 20 players per arena, and have maybe 10 arenas total. Each of us could manage a couple arenas each on our login.

I like your save idea, and we give each character a save code, but how could we make it so only the people who did the save gets the save code?

So the game arenas are like different servers on an MMO? Right?

And about boss rush, you have to beat the last boss (The Headmaster) to unlock it. You can also replay bosses in adventure mode when you return, a portal opens up and you can go into the portal to replay the boss after you beat it. I'll add a Minigames button to the main menu, what should the button be?

As for the save app, it only saves to the computer, so nobody can hack your character.

I was going to say that the person would just create a password, but I see what you mean. Your asking how we figure out the password on the project without anyone else finding out. Hmmm . . . We don't want to use email addresses; those are too personal. We can't use any forums or projects because anyone can look at those. What I think we're going to have to do is create a password FOR the person.

So here is how we'd do it.
Based on there progress in the game when they're done playing the first time (i.e. gold, items, position) we'd give them a password that has that information hidden in it. When the player submitted there progress to the forums, we'd update the project and there profile, but ALSO add their game generated password and a password of our own creation (based on their information). When the player wanted get there password, they'd type the code they received when playing the game first and get there own real password (created by us). It's complex and not 100% reliable, but the only solution I could think of.

Course, we could always just let other users play on there account, because they wouldn't be able to change any of the player's information, because on the forums we'll check usernames. Then again, that would be kind of annoying for the people who worked hard to create there game.

The game arenas would just be different projects with different data, so yeah, your right. Of course, we could only do the game arenas once EVERYTHING is done, because it would be such a pain to have to update 10 projects.

I don't know, I was thinking minigames would be strictly in-game, but I guess that is an option too.

I think we're thinking along those lines, except for some spells you might have to be a certain level AND pay a certain amount of gold to learn them.

Let's stick with only saving when downloaded. You export the list as WizardSave.list or what the list file extension is. I don't think the game will even work online though, big games usually don't.
