Curating projects has a lot more effect than I had expected. I thought it might only add a bit of magic to the scene, but it can result in far more. Some projects have been curated and then Top Loved, which is great for the selected user.
If I were to be curator, I would follow a set plan. It would run as follows:
Days 1 and 2: Games, a nice starter
Days 3 and 4: Physics simulations and such
Days 5 and 6: 1-Sprite 1-Script projects (none of the already popular ones)
Days 7 and 8: Artificial Intelligence
Days 9 and 10: Projects that push the limit
Days 11 and 12: Projects from different categories
Days 13 and 14: Similar to the old Surprise Projects feature, but with careful selection.
I would try and avoid curating users who have been frontpaged multiple times already, or projects with over 1000 views. Sometimes I might drift out of plan, because a great project can always present itself.
Please consider me as curator.
wow...

I would love to be a curator! I will chose projects that don't have much views. I have asked to be a curator every time a new curator comes in. I'm not to experienced in Scratch as I have only been on for about 5 months, but I go on it about 3 times a day. I want to show off projects that have alot of effort into them, good graphics, and good art.
I will aim to try not to put projects that have already been curated, featured, top loved, or top viewed. I will try to get someone a chance to get views and ♥ -Its! People who are helpful, for example, Paddle2See, are more likely to get curated by me, however, if their projects have already been on the front page, I will not curate them.
I will pick projects that have 30 views or less, as that is suitable for the front page. I promise I will do all these things. I am just desperate for curatorship!

I would love the oppurtunity to be curator. I would pick all sorts of projects that deserve to be front page and that are really good. And I will pick fairly.
Well I am not very good at speeches so that is basically it. I understand if I am not picked of course (which is likely).

Did you?
I've seen some projects that only have approximately 30 views but 17 loveits... if I ever become curator, I'll put them in the last two days, like I told the project owners.

I would like to be a scratch curator. I taught many people about scratch, and I think I would do a good curator. I like all kinds of projects; art projects, games, I like pretty much all types. But I only choose my true favorites to put in my favorites.

not to sound mean or anything, but i dont find that helpful, its not a totourial or telling you how to do something, its simply a simulation.

Dear Scratch Team,
I, floatingmagictree, would like to take the job as curator. I have become exceedingly popular in the past few months, getting on the front page 9 times! It was a wonderful feeling when my project Twisted Wizard got on Top Viewed, and I would like to share that feeling with others, via curation. And just in time for the holiday season! I have also contributed to the community and helped others, so you know that you can trust me!
I have many sources for which projects I will choose, because I add every non-noticed and well made project I've seen in my gallery, FMT's Picks (which was a featured gallery a little while ago)!
Among the projects in "FMT's Picks"are games and simulations that seem that a lot of work was put into them. Those projects are what I am looking for, and they are the ones I seek to make well-known.
During my period as curator, I will choose 21 projects, selecting three new projects every two days. Among these projects will be two projects from my gallery FMT's picks, and one from this wonderful list that andresmh had compiled: Active Members.
So please, Scratch Team, choose me as your next curator!
~FMTJust reposting my speech that I made 7 pages ago.
Reposting yet again.....
I have a feeling that you guys aren't reading my posts at all. Can someone confirm this?

I read it - thanks for your application. Sometimes we let these collect for a while and then come up with a list of people to invite. So we may not respond all that quickly.

Oh I see. I was just asking because I've been asking to be curator since last August, and a wait this long made me wonder.
