Scratch

I think that I would like being a curator.

I would put up projects that have good concepts, good execution and an inventiveness of somthing that has not been done yet. For insance I know of one project where you got to draw you character for the game and then play it. This was made a year ago and yet it shows some really good concepts.

I would also like to bring back some of the old projects that have sunk out of popularity because people have moved on to different things. Now on the front page top viewed+loved I see a lot of anime/music projects going up. While this is not a bad thing, I would like to put some of the old games that took alot of coding and time to make and show those to the newer scratchers.

9: I see a lot of projects that don't get the credit they deserve.

Just adding on to what I could do:

10: A lot of people think that projects with a small amount of scripts should not go on the front page, but I would put projects ranging from 50 scripts to 500!

11: I go on scratch every day

12: I could select projects every 2 days. Of course I could do it every day but the projects I choose need attention for a solid amount of time.

13:Honestly, I think the "recommended gallery" is a wonderful idea and I will check out there first

14: Instead of JUST looking at programmers that are well known ( but I will look at them as well) I will search around scratches newest projects and see if any of those might make it into my decision

15: Here is how I'll work: First I'll search well known and not-so-well known artists, not giving any special exceptions to my friends, then I will pick about 10 to 20 to be considered. I will replay all of them, and get my family and friends to vote on it so I can have projects that are accepted by adults, kids, boys, and girls. That should narrow it down to about 5. Then, I'll select the 2 with either 1)The least amount of work that looks done (so I'll look through the scripts, the length of the scripts and the creativity of the game) and 2) The one least best liked by everyone. So the other three will be on the front page!

While I'm at it...

Dang, I didn't think that anyone would beat my post in length. You have alot of good reasons.

i would like to become a curator if possible...

Hi, i want to become a curator it sounds intressting. I recently joinded and i've seen tons of cool projects and they were all different in there own unique ways.  my projects are all diverse or most of them any ways. so please pick me i have not alot to do. thank you

Pros of me beings a curator:
-I would select the best projects and not just the ones by me or my friends.
-I would select projects that I liked but weren't already famous.
Cons of me being a curator:
-I'm a little new (...not too new, though... and I figure things out really fast!)

Good application, but some of your stuff was pointless to put in there. You can't even pick your own projects! I think you would be a good curtator too.

Hey, Billybob-Mario, a curator is chosen by the Scratch Team every few weeks (usually every two weeks). The list of people who want to be curator is very long, but, who knows, maybe you'll get picked one day 

If I were curator, the first thing I'd do is look at the "propose projects to be featured" thread to see what people want to be featured, and search around scratch, and basically I'd try to find projects of people that don't get much attention. Just wanted to let you know!
