I'd like to help spread news and pick good projects that don't normally get to the front page but are really good and deserve it. I've been on scratch for almost 2 years and know a lot about the rules and wouldn't abuse the power to favorite my own. XD
Hope I get the chance!

Hi.
My name is bbbeb (on the site, that is.)
I am on every day (and have been for the last year).
I have viewed several thousand projects, and I have found many of each genre that should be curated.
There is soo much unrecognized talent out there.
All those games out there.... that are much better than some we get on the front page... but never get seen... it's a bit depressing.
Since the front page is full of animations that took ~1 hour and a joke project, then we Scratchers need to change it.
Please elect me for curator, so I may change the front Page.
(Small steps to changing the front page = curators)
Good speech! I agree with all of what you said, I almost never look at front page projects.

I want to be a curator. I love your program! It brought all my dreams of making a online game come to life! Thanks so much! I love making platform games with a twist which i'm currently working on. I also like puzzle and action games. Plus i have a great taste in games and am nice. I never leave mean comments and always press love to my favorites. Please pick me thanks! Bye!

I would like to tell everyone something:
A one or two line post will not get you the position!
A good post gives several reasons, and some examples.

I would like to be curator if possible, I would choose projects that nobody sees, and the projects get ignored. Thanks, Scratch.

The next curator is the Scratch Collab Challenge account! It'll be used to feature submissions from the Scratch Collab challenge. In two weeks time we'll switch back to the normal rotation of curators. Scratch On!

Sweet! I like the addition of the Collab Challenge part on the front page.

Where I learned about scratch was in a summer camp.ever since I have used scratch to try to make my(and others)programming dreams come true.Anyways....
I would like to become a curator,I know some amazing projects that didn't get much views,My favourite projects are adventure games and videos,I once showed a game to coolerthanice called "Puffpuff clouds"by Greenstar, and he curated it.I like games that showed obvious effort and creativity.Although I like 1s1s,I must say some do not show that effort.I can not stand bloody games,One game that people said was violent but wasn't was "Mongolian death worm",although the worm did eat people,it showed no true violence and was a truly entertaining game.
I enjoy puzzle games too because of the fact you actually have to think.
Thanks for reading this really long entry,I hope I get picked,

Nice entry! It might make your text easier to read though if you put the standard spaces after commas, so each word doesn't seem smooshed to the next.
Oh, BTW, that's not considered a long entry, in my opinion. Long is about the essay I wrote

I think you'll find mine is longer (page 118)
Not that it matters, it's quality over quantity.

Here is another attempt to become a curator. So here it goes:
I would like to become a curator because:
1. I would pick projects of all types, music, platformer, animations, art, simulations, and all other general games.
2. I know A LOT of Unknown project creators (just look at my friends list) and I see several new projects each day.
3. I would search through the 'Show and Tell' Article on the Scratch Forums. I would also make a project called 'propose your best projects here' so scratchers can link their and other people's projects for me to explore.
4. With these 2 resources for projects, I will plan to add a new project every twelve hours, giving the picked project about 36 hours on the front page and give it a healthy boost of 300 views.
5. I have been on the scratch website about a year now and I have a good taste of projects, and will also take into account how many good and deserving projects they have made which shows that they are a good scratcher.
6. I will only pick projects that have less than 200 views, and that have less than 30 love-its. I will however pick projects that are in a series and the predecessor has been curated before. I have seen A LOT of good projects and I knew how I felt when I first published my first OS. (Thanks LS97 )
7. I will favour and more likely curate projects that run well online (or at least run well online), and make sure that there is no offensive material in them (that's for you, kids), and that they will be exciting to all audiences (not 'Barbie Dress-Up).
8. I will be fair and give each project the same chance (unless it falls into the previous paragraph), regardless who made it. I will not however curate projects where the creator will likely to be mean to his commenters or just not say anything to them.
9. The amount of projects I see that have less than 50 views and are good enough to be curated is just incredible. I know so many scratchers are amazing and deserve to have their projects curated. But, just to show you, here are some of the projects that I would curate:
Filler by LS97 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/LS97/1316326
Path follower 0.2 by Randalpik http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/randalpik/995736

Ricochet by ilikewaffles http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ilikewaffles/1186024
Asteroids by SeanCanoodle http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/SeanCanoodle/194636
There are some of the projects that I would curate.
10. In case I don't find any worthy projects (I sound like a god . Sorry), I will ask my friends to help me find some and make sure that my front page curator page keeps on moving. I will also check previous curators favourites page and look at what projects they have favoured after their time as a curator.
11. I will make sure that the account that made the project I curated was active, and answers comments, and isn't mean when replying to comments (like some people are). This also means that the curator will be able to see their project on the front page.
12. I go on the scratch website a lot and so I can see lots of good projects. I know some curators that only pick about 6 projects over their 2 week shift, and that's because they can't go on the scratch website enough. I will be able to go on the scratch website enough so I will be able to pick lots of projects.
13. I will make sure that I have the person’s choice wether they want to be put onto the front page or not. For example, if the project that I select is a beta, and the project owner doesn’t want to have it front paged because the full project is not finished, then I will not post it onto the front page.
14. I will ask which project they would like me to curate. For example, if I see a game that they have created and think it is good but they have a game which is just as good and they want that to be on the front page, then I will put the one they want on there (provided it follows the points and rules above).
15. (I don’t know if you can do this, but…) If the user was posting mean or offensive content on the project itself or in the comments, then I would flag the project and take it off the front page (by removing it from my favorites list). This would also apply if the user was to update the project with blood or other inappropriate things.
16. If the user wants to send me his/her project privately for some reason, then they can send it to me by email, and I will have a look at it.
17. I would try and curate projects that work in their own unique way (such as my Puzzle-Platformer, Omen. I don’t mean to spam, it’s just an example). This means that rather that a tutorial you could have an interactive tutorial.
18. I will try to make sure that the project runs well on the new Flash player and when using the old style JavaScript. This means that whichever media system the player is using, the game will run fine, in case the game does not run smoothly (like JavaScript on Safari 5).
There. 1,000 words on why I think I should be chosen to be a scratch curator.
